Over the years I have ‘learnt’ that – one of the key skills to overcoming adversities is to adapt to given situations and move forward. That, is why I have now made history – being the first Jamaican/American woman to Chair the Health Task Force within the two Florida legislative chambers for North Miami/South Florida: Both Florida House of Representatives (District 108) AND The Florida Senate (District 38).

On May 25th, it became apparent that “through God I can do all things.” Thank God for my intuition that directed me to nervously stay calm, and just do it!”
