On March 23, 2017, the Florida Senate District 38 Health Task Force Community Outreach Committee held an intense meeting that was inundated with creative ideas.

Marjori Paul, Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, told her team during the meeting, “team has no ‘I’ in it”, and that the success of the committee in promoting healthy lifestyles within District 38, depends on all members of her team.

The Health Task Force Community Outreach Committee is making an effort to get to know the leaders in the community, so as to strengthen relationships on behalf of Senator Daphne Campbell, as it pertains to healthcare. “We want to touch base with all 15 cities and towns so no one is left behind”, Ms. Paul said.

The Chair has strategically assigned a Community Outreach Committee member to each of the 15 cities and towns within District 38, as follows:

The team continues to collaborate with the Health Task Force Research and Recommendations Committee, to assess the needs and barriers that health care providers face in providing quality care. Florida Senate District 38 Health Task Force Chair Jennifer Leslie and Co-Chair Dr. Katherine Ntekim are very pleased with the progress of all of the task force committees and performance of its members.
